GENERAL  DESCRIPTION

  1. Tired of sitting at your computer reading rules and regulations?  Have you never made a short film, but would like to?  Have you made lots of short films, and want to make another one?  Do you like the way the words "Albino Alligator" sound when placed next to each other?

That's good to hear!  We do, too.  To all of that.

The following is information about the "Albino Alligator" contest:

Take the screenplay to a short film titled "Albino Alligator," written by Chris Brake and John Rapp, and direct it into a short film by you.

The "winner" (the entry that Chris Brake and John Rapp decide they like the best) will be the winner.  The winner will have their short featured on the upcoming release of the "Imaginary You" DVD!  That is a fact.

And that's it!  That's the contest.

There is no wrong way to do this.  If you want to shoot this on a $200 mini-DV camera, do it!  If you want to shoot this on your camera phone, do it!  If you want to shoot this on 35mm film, do it!  We aren't stopping you.
  2.
  3. You are the only one able to put restrictions on this, so... don't!

We want to see the most adjectives you can think of to describe the amount of diversity we would like to see come out of this contest.

Please do whatever you want.  If you've got a weird idea that you've been sitting on for a while that you think would be cool to try in a film, do it now!  We'll watch anything once, so go nuts.  If you can think of a way to do a short film without any visuals, "Albino Alligator" is all ears (but don't do that, unless you really want to).

The contest closes one second before midnight on July 8th, 2007, so don't delay!  Or if you do delay, just make sure we get your entry by 11:59:59 on July 8th, 2007, or we'll be legally forced to burn it.

Now for the boring part, and the restrictions that we were restricted by law to restrict upon others.
